Importing and Exporting Bookmarks

Bookmarks, also referred to as Favorites, are an essential part of any browser. Bookmarks are shortcuts to web pages on the internet. Without bookmarks, you would have to remember the URLs for all the sites you like to visit and enter them in the address bar of the browser. But bookmarks are stored in the browser, so what happens if you want to switch to a different browser or a different computer altogether? Will you have to sacrifice all the bookmarks you have stored?

The answer is NO. Bookmarks can be exported from the browser to an HTML file. The bookmark.html file can then be imported into another browser, or uploaded to a web-hosting account for viewing as an internet page that you can access from any computer anywhere. If you don't have a web-hosting account, you could simply send the .html file as an attachment to an email account you can access from any computer. You can even store the bookmark.html file to a portable storage device and take it with you to another computer so that you can access your favorite sites via the OS without having to actually import them into that machine's browser or upload them to the web.

Convenient, 'ey? But how do you create the bookmark.html file?
