All the directories listed here, except for the ones circled, are ones I created.
They contain all the subdirectories and individual files that I've created or uploaded.
The four items that are circled are there by default and necessary for your account. The three directories I've circled in red, you can open and browse thru, but don't edit or delete them. The "webalizer" directory contains your domain statistics. This is where you will want to look later on to see how many people are visiting your site, where they come from, etc...
(I was popular in Portugal last month. This month I'm popular in Australia. Go figure.)
The "index.html" (note this is a file and not a directory) is the front door to your site for guests. This is the webpage that anyone who types in "www.yourdomain.com" will see. You can put anything you want on this page, but do not change the file name. It must remain titled "index.html". (We'll get into the purpose of "index.html" files later.)
